PROJECTFRIDA is a collaboration between D.Zapa Media, Antonio Pelayo and Master Printer Richard Duardo. Based on Antonio Pelayo’s original graphite art entitled, Frida, Richard Duardo added his artistic interpretation to this iconic image with nine silk screens and a spot varnish. Originally from Devon, Helen Lang now lives and works in South West London. She has always been highly creative and drawn towards illustration as it allows her to inject her slightly obscure and quirky sense of humour into her artwork. Helen works from a rather lovely studio (from which she can witness squirrel fights in the park) and spends her time developing her decorative line work and typography. She is very lucky to be able to paint and draw for a living in between walks with Desmond the border terrier pup.

This lovely stag head from Helen Lang has been made up of illustrations of beautiful birds amongst entwined foliage.

James Brown is an illustrator and print maker based in East London. Trained as a textile and surface print designer, James worked in the clothing industry for 10 years producing print designs for numerous fashion brands from Levis to Louis Vuitton. James’ distinctive illustrative style combined with his skill as a linocut and screen printer, results in a striking portfolio of prints. Much of his work has a heavy typographical influence, and with each piece being hand printed by James, every print is unique.

This handsome print from James Brown has been designed to show the phases of the moon as illuminated by the sun. From ‘New Moon’ to ‘Waning Crescent’ all phases are displayed in this super hand printed screen print.
