With their triumphant collaboration with the New York Ballet, Brooklyn’s famed art duo Faile, installed “Les Ballets de FAILE,” to rapturous appreciation by the New York City art and ballet scene. The aforementioned piece is a four-storey tower soaring to the very tall ceiling of the NYC Ballet building. It is a cacophony of images, color and shape inspired by the institution’s heritage and impact on the modern state of New York art and dance. Today Mr. Ian Millard graced us, the rabbling herd, with a beautiful new piece. Ian’s work is not unknown to us and he, yet again, brings tremendous craftsmanship, great sense of color and precision. Ian’s dedication to his craft is, without question, evident in his blade work. The elegances of his lines are obvious from 100 feet and I couldn’t be more impressed with this particular piece. That all being said, I’ll let the artist speak for himself (he’s earned that right).

“Let’s Get Symbiotic” is a two-color letterpress card with accompanying aqua envelope. Measuring roughly 4.875″ wide by 3.5″ tall, the cards were designed and printed by Rhode Island’s Spoon&Sailor letterpress. The cards were printed on an archival 300gsm bright white 100% cotton Crane’s printmaking paper using a hand-fed Chandler & Price press. Each card is contained within a clear cello envelope for archival protection / gifting purposes. Stamps and writing implements not provided.
