Oregon Country Fair – Art Prints By Emek

The Oregon Country Fair has been going on for 42 years. It is truly a one of a kind event, like a more peaceful Burning Man in the forest, it creates events and experiences that nourish the spirit, explore living artfully and authentically on Earth, and transform culture in magical, joyous and healthy ways. The event is known as an outgrowth of the counter-culture movement, including an emphasis on using environmentally friendly practices during the fair.
You have a choice between the Fair poster or a set of smaller art prints without the text: one day, one night. You are welcome to try for all three, but Emek can not match the poster number with the artprint numbers, nor can they ship them all together.

No commentsA Whole Bunch Of Kickass Stuff From Jermaine Rogers

I have no idea where to begin with the intensity that Jermaine Rogers is releasing on us. So I guess I’m just gonna jump right into it! All three of the print editions listed below (pictured above) will be available at JermaineRogers.com on Friday, July 29th at 3:00 PM EASTERN (12 NOON PACIFIC.)
- SOUNDGARDEN print (Fairfax, VA) -
Measuring approx. 18×24 inches, this screen-print was a big hit at the San Diego Comic-Con. The print was made for the mighty Soundgarden’s recent show in Fairfax, Va. About the imagery, Jermaine says that he wanted a ‘certain ambiguity to be in the air. One of these gentlemen is ‘selling out’. The question is, which one?’ From a signed and numbered edition of only 100 prints. A limited amount is available. $50 USD each, plus shipping/handling.
- NIRVANA Tribute Print: ‘I’m Not Like Them…’ (Artist’s Edition) -
Jermaine was one of the artists commissioned for the “NIRVANA: Taking Punk to The Masses” exhibit by the Experience Music Project (with approval from the Cobain estate.) This print is entitled, ‘I’m Not Like Them…’ and measures approx. 24×18 inches. Offered here is the artist’s edition, printed on cream colored stock (the regular edition, on sale at the EMP Museum, is printed on white stock.)
About the imagery, Jermaine says: ‘Sometimes it’s hard to remember that everyone we know is basically the result of whatever happened to them when they were a child. Everyone around you is a child… deformed, in a way, by age and experience. Little Kurt was a boy who would be king… a king with a rusty crown. It might’ve been better if he’d been a plumber… or an accountant. Oh, the selfish part of us won’t even tolerate that idea… but it might’ve been better. A life is worth something. It’s worth something.’ The artist’s edition is limited to only 75 prints, and a limited amount of these are being made available. $50 USD each, plus shipping/handling.
- ‘Self Portrait’ Art Print -
About this 24×20 in. (approx.) screen print, Jermaine says, ‘I’m pathetic. You don’t have to tell me.’ From a signed and numbered edition of 150. $40 USD each, plus shipping/handling.
- ALEPPIN SANE Vinyl Figure -
Jermaine’s newest entry into the designer vinyl world debuted at San Diego Comic-Con to much critical praise from the vinyl community. Based on the iconic imagery originally created in 2008 for a Foo Fighters poster, the ‘Aleppin Sane’ vinyl figure measures 8 inches tall and commands attention with zen-like calm. There are a total of 7 colorway variants which will be released for the figure. More info about these releases and where they will be available is forthcoming.
The regular edition will be available worldwide in late August at all the usual spots where designer vinyl is sold. A limited amount were made available at SDCC, as well as an exclusive variant available directly from Jermaine. This version is called the ‘Virgin’ variant, as the iconic ‘bolt’ has been removed from the bunny’s face. Jermaine held back a small amount of these in order to make them available to some of you out here in cyberspace. Pictured above, left to right: the unpainted proof, the regular edition, and the ‘Virgin’ variant. More info on these pieces next week.
