Phish New Years Run – Official Concert Print By Ken Taylor
I was so excited to hear that Ken Taylor was doing the official show print for Phish’s holiday run! These are available at the show and no word yet if some will be available online, but if they are I will update this post. Check out Ken’s work at Beyond The Pale. Here are some words from Ken about the piece:
Hey People – Glad to hear most of you are into the print – Thought i would hop on line and explain how i came about doing this image – sooooooo – i was trying to think of something unique for nye – i started to think of the end of an era and new beginnings and starting over in the new year – all that kind of stuff – that lead me to the song end of session – i essentially have illustrated the words to that song…..
A silent bird / a raging tide a mountainside
An open door / looming from the surf
A whispered word / a steady wind as we began
And then no more / to close in on the earth
i also added the snow in as it always seems to snow in ny around this time but added the sun behind the mountain side within the doorway to symbolize new light. anyway – enough from me – hope they look good in person – full of metallics!!! Thanks again for the gig – love doing these – Cheers Ken

No commentsThe Ian Dingman / Community Poster Showcase
Tiny Showcase presents the fourth installment in their series of mildly factual, mostly fictitious, educational posters – Their honest and whole-hearted attempt to school you and yours. A five color print measuring roughly 19 x 30 inches. Pick yours up at Tiny Showcase.
Inspired by the posters on classroom walls, but free from any commitment to reality, TS Learning Press is dedicated to excellence in education by blurring and/or eradicating the lines where real life meets way better make believe life.
For the fourth poster in our TS Learning Press series, Tiny Showcase invited Ian Dingman to explore the concept of community by highlighting a neighborhood. He takes us on a tour of the architecture of an unidentified city; arm-in-arm with s. finch, the twosome spent many hours staring at the facades, peering past the cracks in the curtains, lingering over the loose rocks on your curb, and speculating all the stories of all the moments of the lives that course through and cling to one neighborhood.

In conjunction with his solo show at My Addiction Gallery titled “Faces Over Arizona”, Harry Diaz is releasing a print made specifically for the show. The print is titled “Sun Up” and is measures 18 x 24 inches, three colors, edition of 50, and signed and numbered. A little about the show:
On display at the gallery are a series of paintings and prints. The paintings were created with the state of Arizona’s immigration in mind. It is not a political but social commentary on the state of immigration and social justice in the state. The prints included in the show are of small editions of seven. Most of them are five or more colors.
You can pick this piece up as well as any of the show pieces at My Addiction Gallery.

Robert Jones will be releasing the latest installment of Star Wars pieces today, December 29 at Mondotees! This new piece, titled “King’s Lead Hat” measures 24 x 36 inches and is a limited run of just 225. You know these will go fast! Here is a little bit of what the artist had to say:
“There’s a scene in Star Wars where Grand Moff Tarkin strides into his council room on the Death Star announcing the dissolution of the Imperial Senate. His officers express concern over the Emperor’s ability to maintain control of star systems without this governing body. To this Tarkin retorts, ‘Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this battle station.’
This exchange made me consider the motivation behind the Emperor’s construction of Darth Vader. I’m not referring to just the cybernetic bits maintaining Vader’s body but also the active manipulation of his mind to bring him to the dark side. The Emperor created in Vader a weapon no different from the Death Star in its ultimate purpose, a means of generating fear amongst the vast populace he ruled. An administrative tool that became the executor of the Emperor’s cruel commands. With that in mind, I decided to depict Vader as a facility harnessing and directing his immense natural power towards malicious ends.” – artist, Rob Jones
