I’m a big fan of comic books, so please understand how excited we were when we found out that there is going to be a series of posters based on Marvel’s The Avengers.  Seven posters will be produced in all and today Mondo revealed two of them.  Olly Moss has tackled “Black Widow” and Tom Whalen did “Hawkeye”.  Black Widow is an edition of 320 and will be available online at a random time on Thursday, April 19th.  Hawkeye is an edition and will be available online at a random time on Friday, April 20th.  The place to get these is in the Mondo shop when the time is right.

Mondo will be releasing their first print in their new Looney Tunes series today and it’s for non other than the Chuck Jones masterpiece “Duck Dodgers In The 24 1/2 Century”.  Movie poster is by Tom Whalen and measures 18 x 24 inches.  Hand numbered screen print in an edition of 320.  Pick these up when the time is right at Mondo.

Mondo recently had viewings for two great films, “The Exorcist” & “The Cabin In The Woods”.  You can see the wonderful work done for “The Exorcist” while “The Cabin In The Woods” image will show up online later this evening.  ”The Exorcist” measures 24 x 36 inches and is a numbered edition of 245.  A variant edition of 75 will also be available.  These go onsale tomorrow at a random time at Mondo.

Back in December Tom Whalen released his amazing movie print for the classic “Two Gun Mickey”.  The same piece has been released as a wood variant and is a small edition of 120.  The detailed artwork by Tom Whalen is printed on a white maple wood panel, creating an added element of texture and tone.  Each piece measures 24 x 18 inches and are now available at Sideshow Collectibles.

Psycho is a 1960 American suspense/horror film directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles, John Gavin, and Janet Leigh.  This is Joshua Budich’s  take on the classic and his contribution to Gallery1988′s upcoming Hitchcock Tribute Show, “Suspense & Gallows Humor”.  This measures 24 x 36 inches and is a four color screenprint.  Limited edition of 100 prints, signed and numbered by the artist.  55 prints of the run will be available at the show and the rest will be available in Joshua’s store after the show.

Another Monday treat has just came along.  ”Nosferatu” is the classic 1922 German Expressionist horror film, directed by F. W. Murnau, starring Max Schreck as the vampire Count Orlok.  ”Nosferatu” are available in sets today and singles will be available tomorrow.  The set includes three prints (unframed) by artist N.E.  These measure 18 x 24 inches, four colors including a transparent black, and a run of 25.  Pick them up now at New Flesh Prints.

“Touch of Evil” is a three-color screen print created by designer and illustrator Cyrus Highsmith for Providence’s Cable Car Cinema and their screening of Orson Welles’ 1958 thriller.  This was printed on a smooth archival 260gsm printmaking paper by The Head Light Hotel.  Prints measure roughly 18 x 24 inches. Prints purchased on Tiny Showcase have been signed by the artist.

Check out this badass new movie poster by Ken Taylor…. Disney’s “20,000 Leagues Under The Sea”!  Without a doubt, he’s one of the best illustrators working today.  This beauty meaasures 36 x 24 inches and is a hand numbered screen print.  This edition of 390 will be available online at a random time on Friday, March 30th.  Mondo will be the place to grab one when the time is right.  Get there early and get a good seat!
