John Baizley is releasing a brand new piece this week for his band, “Baroness”.  “Morphine Hawk” is a signed and numbered edition of 200.  Measures 18 x 24 inches and is a four color print on French Black Licorice paper.  These go onsale at Burlesque Design this Thursday, July 15th at 2pm (CST).

An all-new revisitiation of the original, unfathomable creature of the unspeakable deep.  Now with some visiting friends, and one possibly rather ambivalent deep sea diver.  This is both the largest edition and most technically involved screen print by Phineas Jones yet.  This is the big one people.  And, as so often in the past, the effects of the multiple metallic screens is pretty impossible to convey with photography. Kinda a slow Monday around here at The Poster District.  I came across this piece that was released over the weekend and thought I would share.  Jboy released a real limited edition of his latest piece, “Playgirl”.   This measures 50 x 70 cm and is a three colored handpulled screen print.  Edition of 50!  You can pick these up in Jboy’s store.

I’m super pumped to announce the much awaited release of Cleon Peterson’s new print series. Printed on the finest cotton paper using a bright ink that could cause blindness if stared directly at.  These go onsale this Wednesday, July 14th at The BLDG.  Each piece is an edition of 60 and measures 13.5 x 17.5 inches.

The wonderful and ever so talented Lindsey Carr has a stunning new piece.  “Morpheus”  is a very limited piece that measures 12 x 16.5 inches with an edition of just 25.  Printed on archival textured paper.  You can pick one of these up at Paper Tiger.

This is a seven color handprinted silkscreen poster for the German festival called “Stoned from the underground”.  Precious light brown paper, a lot of metallic inks (gold, bronze, copper) and overprinted a two sided calavera with an iridescent glittered blue.  The run of the poster is 141 pieces and is available on Malleus’s website after the festival.

Black Bettie pays homage to the ever-lovely 50s pinup model Bettie Page run up against the solarisation photo process employed by the classic surrealist Man Ray (among others).  There’s four versions of Bettie, black and silver colorways on both white paper and sand paper.  Check these out in Aelhra’s store.

“Dark Wave” is the latest print from Shepard Fairey and is certainly a print that everyone can appreciate.  This piece 18 x 24 inches and is an edition of 400.  This comes in two different colorways, cream and white.  A little bit about the piece:

“I will be donating a portion of the proceeds from this print to the NRDC… Natural Resources Defense Council. They are concerned with changing policy to achieve environmental and energy solutions, not just putting a band-aid on existing problems. Check them out at NRDC.”

Brad Klausen is releasing some of his recent Pearl Jam tour prints this weekend.  For all you fans this is your shot to get these gems.  There are about 50 of each of the European posters available for sale on Saturday and 20 New Orleans posters.  There are also still a few older posters remaining, so as always, have a look around the site for any other posters that may have eluded you in the past.  There’s not a lot of these, but one or two here and there.  So tomorrow, July 10th at 10am (PDT) head over to Artillery Design and grab yourself one.

Tim Doyle teased this print, “The Cook”, on his site a few days back, and I’ve been anticipating the release ever since.  “The Cook” measures 12×24 inches, is 4 colors with 2 split fountains, and is signed and numbered in an edition of 150.  There is also a wood variant available in a small edition of 10.  Head over to Nakatomi for more info and to grab one.

I wanted to let you know about a new poster-ette for summertime. This new piece is from Jeremy Payne.  “Cool and Refreshing” is an 8 x 10 inch, three color screen print on French, True White, Speckletone stock, and features a fantastic margarita recipe.  The print is available at Gigposters.

Crazy 4 Cult 4 opens tomorrow, and I’m happy to report another kick ass print.  “Rushmore” is from Todd Slater and will be one of the many piece being released this weekend. The art really is so impressive!  For those interested in purchasing prints, the first time they will be available at the opening reception on Friday night. Then, prints will be for sale online at Gallery 1988, on Saturday afternoon.  All the originals will be up then too!

Dave Kinsey is chiming in with his tribute to the Star Wars trilogy.   “Raider” is a 24 x36 inch screen print.  Hand numbered.  Printed by D&L Screen Printing.  Edition of 350.  These will be gone very soon, so hurry to Mondotees to grab yourself one.
